Bullshido Martial Arts! That's practically a whole genre at this point.

The term "Bullshido" is basically a satirical jab at fraudulent or delusional martial arts schools, instructors, or systems that exaggerate effectiveness, lineage, or mystical powers. It's also the name of a forum/community (Bullshido.net) that was built around exposing martial arts fraud, cult-like dojos, and snake oil self-defense.

Here’s the kind of stuff that falls under Bullshido Martial Arts:

  • 💥 No-touch knockouts: “I can knock you out with just my energy.” (Sure you can, sensei...)

  • 🐉 Mystical Chi powers: Channeling internal energy to become immune to pain or throw attackers without touching them.

  • 🥋 Fake black belts: Buying ranks or claiming to be a 12th dan in a made-up style at age 22.

  • 💸 McDojos: Schools more focused on money and belt promotions than real skill or training.

  • 🤐 Cultish behavior: “The master is never wrong, questioning him means you’re disrespectful.”

It’s basically the martial arts equivalent of selling snake oil and calling it ancient wisdom.

You run into something like this in real life or just fascinated by the concept?
